The 4CX3000A is a metal-ceramic, forced air-cooled tetrode with a thoriated tungsten cathode. At an operating frequency of 150MHz, the anode dissipation power is 3500W. The tube is mainly used in class AB1 linear amplifier on audio frequency or radio frequency applications, for its quality of low intermodulation distortion makes it suitable for single sideband service. It’s also used on class C rf power amplifier and anode-modulated rf power amplifier.
