The 4CX1500A is a directly-heated, forced air-cooled, cermet structured medium power transmitter tube with a thoriated tungsten cathode. Its anode power dissipation is 1500W, and the operating frequency is 150MHz, for use in the VHF band. The end of the screen grid leads to a connecting ring, which can provide good isolation between the anode circuit and the control grid circuit. The tube is mainly used as Class C or Class AB1 linear amplifiers, or voltage regulators and linear modulators.
